On behalf of the Sophomore Class Officers, I’d like to announce that it’s time for a new Mr. CCTS! The Mr. CCTS Competition of last year is going to be pretty hard to top (we had almost 300 people in attendance!), but I think that we have a fresh crop of Juniors and some returning Seniors that are highly qualified and ready, willing, and able to not only do what it takes to be named Mr. CCTS 2012, but also make this Mr. CCTS Competition the best one yet!

Basically, for those of you who don’t know about Mr. CCTS, it is a school competition in which the males of the Junior Class and Senior Class are offered the opportunity to display their vast and diverse talents and abilities in a pageant-type setting. This is a role-reversal of the traditional beauty pageant, catering to the young men of the school. More than anything else, it is an event that will provide students with a fun and worthwhile experience, allowing them to come out of their shell for one night and show off for students, staff, and family. The Mr. CCTS Competition is just as rewarding for the audience, who will certainly enjoy laughter and excitement throughout the evening. The students will be judged by a select panel of reputable individuals, consisting of faculty, staff, and administrators, based upon criteria pertaining to the 3 components of the competition: fashion, talent, and speech. There will be 3 prizes awarded at the end of the night: the highly coveted crown of Mr. CCTS, 1^st Runner-Up, and 2^nd Runner-Up. 

The Mr. CCTS 2012 Competition will begin promptly at 7pm on Thursday, March 29th.

AS PER REQUEST OF THE SOPHOMORE CLASS ADVISORS FRANK WILLIAMS AND ANNA GUIDA, ALL TEACHERS ARE BEING ASKED TO NOMINATE QUALIFIED STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MR. CCTS COMPETITION. SIMPLY RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL WITH THE NAME OF THE STUDENT THAT YOU ARE NOMINATING. THERE ARE CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS THAT THE STUDENT MUST FULFILL TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. THE TERMS OF MR. CCTS COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1.   QUALIFIES FOR RENAISSANCE DURING MARKING PERIODS 1 & 2 OF CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR

2.   MAINTAINS A 2.5 OR HIGHER GRADE POINT AVERAGE DURING CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR

3.   NO BEHAVIOR DEVELOPMENT AND/OR SUSPENSIONS DURING CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR

4.   ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN ONE SPORTS TEAM AND/OR STUDENT ORGANIZATION

5.   POSSESSES QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS THAT YOU BELIEVE ARE WORTHY OF RECOGNITION AND TRULY REPRESENT THE BEST CALIBER OF STUDENT CCTS HAS TO OFFER
